The weather has improved somewhat, still a nasty choppy sea but at least a consistent NE’ly to speed us along. Only 720 miles to go. Should be in St Lucia dinking a beer next week....
Today marks two sad occasions for us.
Two years ago our friend Roy was lost at sea in St Lucia. He is now sailing his own ocean, maybe one day we will meet again. Of course, he is the reason we are going to St Lucia. I am excited that we will soon be able to assess Guiding Light and begin work to get her seaworthy again.
Also, three months ago today Carmen’s brother was killed.
So a day for reflection and remembering the good times that were, and will be.
