It seems we have been here for weeks but it is in fact only one week. We came onto the marina to get our main engine fixed last Sunday and have stayed doing jobs ever since.
I am quite proud of what we have achieved!
The main engine is working with new diesel filters. I even gave it a thorough clean. Various spares have been sourced so we are good to go. Having said that it really needs an oil change. One for the todo list
The big outboard is fixed and I have changed the gearbox oil, but again oil should be done too...
The small outboard was run for several days and is back on the bracket. It needs a new gear lever when I can source one! Maybe I will look on eBay
The Watermaker has a new filter and two now in spares.
I scrubbed the decks and cleaned the Topsides, still need to do the stainless, maybe tomorrow
The anchor chain has been dragged out and marked again
The dinghy cleaned and polished
All the gel coat repairs to the coach roof and cockpit are done. Just need to touch up the Awlgrip
The handheld VHF base station has been installed with dedicated 12v power source. In doing so I moved a bulkhead light that has been annoying me for years!
There are also now two 12v outlets on the chart table.
The broken galley light has been replaced
The Raymarine chart plotter and cockpit remote have been sent back for warranty repairs
All the lockers have been sorted and restowed
Gill has been crocheting madly and we now have new and improved locker bins
Plus of course we have entertained three evenings!
But now it is nearly time to leave, we might leave the marina tomorrow or I might polish the Topsides..we shall see, while cleaning the stainless of course
Of course I might just rest, I have only had one siesta all week
Fair winds
