Toes
We were working our way back to Nassau to pick up family who were coming
for a visit. Chatting to our friends on mv Marisol, we decided to go to Rose
Island, before Nassau. There is a popular beach bar and restaurant there – Salty
Toes, which we thought we would try. On arrival, we realised the southerly
anchorage was too rough, so we decided to go around the back side of the island.
It looked poorly surveyed on our charts , with lots of shallow patches. Luckily
Dave on Marisol, has a much shallow draft and he went ahead of us. in the end we
both found a good enough spot to anchor, right off the pub. There were at
least 50 “day” boats in the area, coming over from Nassau for a day in the sun
on the beautiful stretches of sandy beaches.
Enjoying the day with Dave & Dotty ..... and some rather
delicious mango daiquiris
