We are now at the southern tip of the Baja peninsula - with the long trek north to Ensenada ahead of us.  We had a lot of wind and fairly big seas for the last 2 or 3 hours as we started to round the Capes. So we decided to head into the marina at Cabo San Lucas - which if you look on Google Earth, has been dug out to form a massive marina area. I understand that there are about 750 slips in the area. This is a very famous fishing/ holiday resort, with most of the boats being of the fishing, rather than cruising variety.

Cabo is very un-Mexican ...feels like a major holiday town in the USA - packed with restaurants, bars, shops of every description and the occasional Mexican Curio shop - although most of that merchandise  looks to have come from China. We did find one shop selling authentic wares from Oaxaca, and Mike bought a beautiful Angora wool rug.  The other thing you can buy in Cabo is Viagra, Cialis etc ..there are pharmacies everywhere, with quite bold signage!!  So what exactly do guys going on a week's fishing without there wives in need with these drugs ....mmmmm... makes you think!

We took a walk around the area and stopped for some sushi at sunset and then dinner a little later. A nice treat before the rough passage ahead.
