A sad story is attached to the name of this very remote and pretty beach. Centuries ago, an unfortunate "fat girl" from Venezuela was abandoned here by some buccaneers, and forced to sell herself to survive. Today there is only a simple hotel, catering to divers and of course a Guardia office. The sea is incredibly blue as I hope this picture shows. We are planning a snorkelling expedition tomorrow - which should be amazing
