It is sunset and we are "rounding the bend" , south of New Caledonia and then will be on a straight track to Brisbane. The last 24 hours have seen perfect conditions for Time2 (and her crew!) Light winds and a virtually flat sea - these "doldrums" are what I have been looking for all year across the Pacific. Mike caught a huge Dorado on Friday and a small Tuna today...he is a happy man!
It is a long trip for us from Fiji to Australia, and with just 2 of us for watches for about 10 days, it is quite grueling. We are therefore really happy that our weather window is working out and we are able to move about and rest easy. All going well, we hope to be in Brisbane by Friday afternoon. From all accounts it is a wonderful city and we cant wait to get there. And then I guess we will have to watch the NZ vs SA rugby game!
