We have just crossed the equator, in a heavy rainstorm with 25knots of wind. Since Forteleza we have had strong winds out of the North West (should be N-E) and a strong current pushing us east (should be the Guyana current pushing us north west) Very strange - and we thought our biggest challenge would be no wind. At 175nm off the coast of Brazil, the sea is BLACK ... no more beautiful "Indigo" water until we are well away from the influence of the massive rivers - Pindare (about 280nm away) and the Amazon (500nm away) All is well on board. Thanks to your all for your mails!
