From Grand Bahama, we headed south to The Berry Islands – finding a nice anchorage inside of Soldier Cay.  We moved around within the bay, as the winds clocked around, but stayed in this uninhabited area for a few days enjoying the still warm water. We managed to do a bit of free diving and twice found some crayfish.  Our last visits the the Bahamas have been in the “off” season, so it was nice to be able to get these. Mike’s fishing has been less than successful with only the odd sailfish (not good eating) and one cero (mackerel)

With time on his hands, Mike hauled out his sewing machine and made us a brilliant shade-cloth for our back deck.  With the prevailing wind being from the east, the back deck gets extremely hot in the late afternoon, as the sun is setting in the west. We can now roll this down and have some shade.  Here he is, working in the salon with this giant piece of fabric. If you are wondering what that box on the left is, it is the TV – which comes out of the cabinet with a lift. We have lots of movies and TV series to keep us busy on the grim days.
