From Viani Bay we headed back to Savu-Savu for a quick stop to pick up some extra paperwork from customs.  The weather was looking good so we headed out across to Namena Reef (a marina sanctuary) for the night. Only one other boat came in, and it was another Nordhavn!  Jennifer and James on Dirona, whom we had met in Moorea.  I quickly whipped up some frozen margaritas and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset with them.

The next morning we continued over to the north side of Viti Levu (main island of Fiji) and followed a very windy path between the reef and the main land for the whole day- eding up in this anchorage at Nananu-I-ra.  We had planned to stay here for a day or two but the wind was howling. The kite surfers were having a great time, but we decided to press on to Lautoka main town on the west side.

One very good thing about Fiji is the brilliant and fairly cheap access to the internet through Vodafone - we have coverage with a 3G card just about everywhere we go. Feels pretty weird to be sailing between islands, catching up on emails and internet!
