14 April  17.27pm  UTC   (9.30am local time)
This morning we crossed the equator at 132.4W. Mike and I had a quick swim – the swells are quite big so we jumped in quickly with a rope, got some photos and got right out. I will post some pics once we get to land. The water was not as warm as I expected, around 27degC.  We now have around 700nm to go and if the currents continue to be favourable, should arrive on Thursday.  On the fishing front, we hooked a marlin yesterday, which John fought for a few minutes, but that fish was having nothing of it, jumping out the water and wriggling like crazy until it got loose.  Not much else to report
