All is well on board and we are on our way.
We had a very enjoyable, social few days in a unique place whilst waiting for a suitable weather window to head south. After a benign couple of days, the passing of the expected boisterous trough heralded the start of our window of opportunity. The first 24 hours have given us a good start with fast sailing conditions and a somewhat lumpy sea. We now have flatter seas and are enjoying a comfortable ride in light winds.
During the night we passed the geographic dateline and our compass has changed from West to East as degrees from Greenwich, which means we're diametrically half way round the world. Wow!
