Time for a holiday...
18:17.33N 65:38.05W Although life aboard a boat in the Caribbean might seem like one long holiday to some, there’s always an on-going jobs list and concerns regarding weather, anchorages, communications and general bureaucracy that make off-boat time a welcome break. And so we decided to treat ourselves to some skiing in the Rockies. The best flight connections to the USA were out of Puerto Rico and we found a safe berth for Macushla at the Puerto del Rey Marina on the east coast of Puerto Rico. Before flying out we decided to spend a few days exploring old San Juan and booked a perfectly located hotel in the middle of the old town. We had a great time wandering through the blue, cobbled streets soaking up the atmosphere. The numerous stray cats are well cared for by the local ‘Save a Gato’ organisation and can be found all over the city. |
