We have spent the last week berthed at the High Street Landing in Portsmouth Virginia.  The now legendary Bob at Mile Marker 0 Marine Supplies has helped us secure all the items and spare parts we were needing, so we are planning to move on tomorrow.  Having to rake up the leaves on the deck and in the cockpit is a sure sign that it’s time to continue on south.

Whilst we’ve been here we’ve enjoyed a visit to the quirky Commodore cinema where we had a meal before watching the excellent Lincoln, starring Daniel Day Lewis, a topical subject so soon after our visit to Washington D.C.

We also took the ferry across Elizabeth River to Norfolk for the day.
