All is well on board, the sun is shining and we're making steady progress..

As the trip progresses we're fine-tuning our watch system and are starting to move away from our usual 3 hours on, 3 hours off by extending the night watches to 4 hours to give ourselves a decent period off watch. Seems to be working so far.

Although we spend most of the time balancing and bracing ourselves to cope with the continual pitching and rolling of the boat, it's still a pretty sedentary existence, so we're starting to feel the need to build some exercise/stretching into our routine. That should prove interesting,

We've not started fishing yet as the fridge is still bursting at the seams with the fresh produce bought at the wonderful Mercado Central at Las Palmas. However, the line is all set to be deployed later in the trip.

Uninvited crew turned up yesterday in the form of a racing pigeon. Obviously tired and thirsty, he guzzled down some water and had a rest and went on his way a few hours later. Only the quick reflexes of the Skipper prevented him from installing himself down below. Now that would have been very interesting.
