After a week in the East Holandes Cays, we thought we would move on to Green Island, or Kanlildup as it's known to the local Kuna folk, a mere 8 miles away. Given its proximity we opted to have a gentle sail under headsail alone and arrived just before lunch. The anchorage is surrounded by reefs, so the water is very flat and it offers more picture postcard views of palm fringed beaches.

Yesterday we had quite a work out as we swam around the anchorage against the current to the shore, where we did a circuit of the island, though this didn't take very long it has to be said. The water was a beautiful turquoise colour, but quite murky, so the snorkelling this time was not up to the high standard we've become accustomed to.
