Another early start saw us able to make it comfortably as far as Vieques, one of the Spanish Virgin Islands. As the trade winds filled in, we realised that to reach Culebra would be very hard work, so after lunch, we decided to finish early and head for Green Beach, just south of Punta Arenas.
It's a truly beautiful spot and is well protected from the prevailing easterlies. We had perfect conditions so took the opportunity to swim ashore and enjoyed having this secluded beach to ourselves.
