After a good nighht's sleep in the tranquil Canal de Barcos anchorage, we set off at first light, keen to make the most of the benign conditions to round Cabo San Antonio. We were keen to head along the southern coast before the Easterly Trade Winds regained their full strength later in the week, but we were still faced with a long, overnight upwind sail, albeit in manageable conditions.
The reward for all our efforts was to arrive in the delightful anchorage of the Puerto Frances bay with its crystal clear, bath tub temperature and shimmering turquoise water. Swimming cossies beckon...
