We checked in to St Vincent and the Grenadines at Clifton and enjoyed two nights in the calm, but busy harbour, tucked in behind the reef.

Yesterday we decided to come to Chatham Bay, a mere 5 miles 'round the corner', and found a truly idyllic spot anchored in the north of the bay. Here we watched the many pelicans and other seabirds diving for fish and we headed off to the headland in the dinghy for some snorkelling off the reef, where we saw an abundance of sealife: all manner of brightly coloured fish, a stingray and a spotted snake eel. By far the best snorkelling we've had since we've been travelling.

We had a very enjoyable evening with friends Andy and Sue aboard Spruce, whom we'd last seen in Madeira, so had much catching up to do.
