We're very much enjoying the East Holandes Cays and are surrounded by uninhabited, palm-fringed islands. It really is a beautiful place. Just a short swim/snorkel from the boat we have our own private coral reef, teeming with fish and plant life. We've heard this area has some of the clearest water in the San Blas, so have been keen to make the most of it. The sighting by our friends on sv Saraoni of a crocodile close to Macushla very early one morning has not deterred us, as this appears to be a rare event; crocodiles tending to prefer the muddier waters of the river mouths on the mainland. At least we hope so.

We've been fortunate to be able to top up our fresh supplies from the visiting Kuna Indians in their dug out canoes and we are trying to learn a few words of their language from each visitor.

This is a very remote place without wifi and only an occasional, flaky, half bar of mobile signal, but it's given us the chance to get rid of some of the long-term residents on the 'To Do' list as well as have a serious chill out.
