We rounded off our stay in Annapolis, finishing on a high, by catching up with our good friends Mike and Marguerite, who crossed the Atlantic at the same time as us in their boat Ithaca,  and we enjoyed a wonderful meal at their home on the banks of Saltworks Creek a little further up the Severn River.  We do hope our paths cross again in the future.

An early morning departure saw us catching the ebb tide past Annapolis and down the Chesapeake Bay, though the very light winds meant that we had to motorsail more than we would have liked.  However we were able to make good progress and arrived at Solomons Island, our chosen overnight stop, in good time.
