We’ve made our way  up this meandering creek as far as our draft would allow to shelter as best we can from Hurricane Sandy.  We’ve prepared Macushla for storm force winds by laying two anchors with extensive scope and have stripped her of canvas and sails to minimize windage, as well as lash down all remaining deck gear.

The delights of Washington DC will have to wait as we sit this one out up a muddy creek.
