We ended up staying two nights here. On the way my electronic autopilot packed up. It is less than a year since I had it overhauled and fitted a new hydraulic ram. After checking out everything the fault is with the hydraulics on the new ram. This is the naughty bit.

I rang the makers and they have agreed to replace it. Fortunately for me I have a sailing friend who has a place in Burgas, Bulgaria and who is coming out on the 22nd He has very kindly agreed to bring it with him. It is only a few minutes to fit but takes an hour to get to it.

The boat I am moored against is used in the evenings by a group of chaps like a garden shed. They invited me to join them for chi and baklava.

None of them spoke any English but we managed. Later they rang a pal who joined us. He spoke very good English. All great fun.

This area is the centre for coal mining.......

......as depicted by this chap. The only sign I have seen is the large amount of black dust which came down with a thunderstorm last night.

There is a very good fruit and veg market here. Peaches seem to be in season so I have been breakfasting on them.

My plans have now changed, partly because of the auto helm and I am now heading back west on my way to Burgas. I am going into Eregli tonight to check out of Turkey.
