When I was approaching Peniche this morning I realised I would arrive in the dark so decided to carry on to Cascais which is very close to Lisbon. I got in here at about 1300. This is a seriously posh marina but still only 18 euros a night including a free bottle of wine. These people have style. I was greeted at the reception pontoon by a very smart young man " Could I take Sir's lines please",

I slept this afternoon and then washed the boat. This evening I wandered up to a bar which is only 50 mts from the end of the pontoon and had a beer. It has been 30 degrees here today so I felt I deserved it. I met some very friendly English yachties who are also on their way south.

The marina people gave me a guide book for this area and you could spend months here there is such a lot to see. So I will be leaving at 08.00 tomorrow and will head for Sines which is about 110nm so should get there early on Thursday morning.

No photos today - sorry.
