Today we have had a great sail to windward in 25kts. Minka loved it and we did do a bit of reefing but at the end we had a very steady 18 kts true which kept the lee deck in the water as I got bored with reefing.

Great fun. John hasn't done this sort of sailing before so he had a great time on the helm.

We had to put a ten mile tack in but after that we made it around every headland with a tad to spare.

Minka is now safely tucked up in Mazarron where she will stay when I fly back on Saturday for a couple of weeks. John has kindly volunteered to help me give her a good clean tomorrow and then we are sharing a taxi to the airport. His next yacht is very close to that so he will join it and set off to the Balearics. It is a Jeaneau 37 which he was on last week so an interesting contrast for him.
