I enjoyed my stay here as it is a fun and friendly place. I met a Turkish sea captain who spoke good English. He said he learnt it in a London prison where he was held until his ship owners paid a fine for attempted smuggling.

.....taken from the beach looking south down the Bosphorus. We are leaving the port heading north into the Black Sea and then east along the north coast of Turkey.

The landscape is comparatively gentle and quite green. Minka is now about a knot faster under engine since I cleaned the propeller yesterday.

A final shot of the Bosphorus and the new bridge pillars. The Kapitan tells me the locals don't want the bridge as it will bring more tourists......very tactful.
