Yesterday my Spanish friend Manuel came at 8.00 am and we took Minka round to Club de Regattas to be lifted out. They can only lift out two boats at once but it is very well organised. The yard staff were somewhat disbelieving of Minka's yacht legs but grateful as it saved them propping her. Manuel very kindly helped me scrub her off by hand as the pressure washer had died.

The bowthruster props are off, cleaned and painted and the maxprop cleaned and greased. I have just finished putting on the first coat of antifouling. I will do another tonight when it gets cooler or first thing in the morning. Then all I have to do is wax the hull. I have cleaned it and it is in pretty good order with no new scrapes.

A couple of pictures from Minka across the marina.

That is the clubhouse in the background. The facilities here are excellent and it is much quieter than the other marina. It is quite fun sleeping on the boat but hard to get used to the fact she isn't moving.

For any readers cruising this coast lifting out here is very reasonable. Lift out, prop and lift back in, including a week's hard standing is 150 euros. The crane is only rated to 10 tons so nothing more than that.
