For the last few weeks I have been haing a great time taking visiting friends sailing out of Mazarron and also some local sailors who are very interested in Minka. This is because she is one of the few yachts here who are not mass produced BenJeanBavs. There is also a lot of interest in her cruising equipment.

My plans have changed a bit. This week I have my daughter Laura and her friend Helen on board. We have been out once on Minka but they have really come just for a holiday. Unfortunately there has been some rain and it was particularly heavy last night.

On Monday Minka is being lifted out and then will be on the hard for a week whilst I antifoul her. During that week my friend John is arriving and as soon as Minka is back in the water we will set off back to Brighton. The plan is to do it with a minimum of stops but we will go into to Gibraltar to stock up on FB pies at Morrisons. It is 1414nm according to my chartplotter so it will be interesting to see how long it takes.

When we set off I will start doing daily blogs again.
