Hurray ...........we won.
What a great match. The atmosphere in the
restaurant where we watched it was electric from the start. My friends had
bought more fog horns and an enormous flag. I think we we were able to
make as much noise as the Spanish.
After the match we drove into Mazarron and parked
up near the fountain. The fountain was full of people dancing and singing and
there was a huge crowd all joining in with fireworks going off all around us.
The cars were nose to tail going past with people with flags sitting out of
the windows and children climbing on the back.
 We stayed about an hour and there was no sign of
the celebration abating. I drove to Cartagena the next morning and there were
still small groups on street corners singing and waving flags.
So I have now supported the winning team twice in
the World Cup. That is every 44 years so I will me just over 100 next time. I do
like something to look forward to...........
