Raining planes and walking the plank

The first rain for a few weeks today but it was only a shower. I thought I would tell you a bit more about this marina. I am moored bow to a concrete jetty. There are no side floating pontoons so one end is tied to the jetty and one to a "lazy line" which is a substantial rope fixed to a sunken concrete block about 50 mts behind the boat. This means you have to walk the plank

The plank is surprisingly stable but needs some further ropes to secure it. I brought two planks like this with me just for this purpose. They were kindly donated by the now extinct Leeds College of Technology and were laboratory work tops made of iroko. So we've done rain, and walking the plank which leaves planes. An estate agent would describe Minka's mooring as convenient for the Airport. By the way can you spot the pussy cat? They have two on the boat next door.

I took this whilst standing on the bow. It is an RAF transport plane but I have seen some Easyjet planes as well.

I have just bought a Sunday paper and am catching up on the election result. I am glad I didn't vote so it isn't my fault. I know.....................
