There was a F5/6 forecast from the the north west which was the way I wanted to go. The forecast was accurate which I discovered when I checked it a couple of hours after I set off. I have yet to grasp the concept of checking forecasts before I leave.
So it was a a bit of a slog made worse by the adverse current which did nothing for my tacking angles. Apart from taking reefs in and out it was an uneventful trip except for a visit from....
....my friends in the coastguard. They didn't stop and say hello this time. The sea looks really flat in that photo but this one gives a better idea of the sea state.
Apart from the trip taking longer than I planned it was great fun to be bashing through the waves. It reminded me a bit of the Irish Sea.
Kikikoy seems to be a lovely fishing village. I didn't visit the village itself as I was so late getting in. It is on a hill above the harbour.
I moored up against what I thought was a fishing boat but turned out to be a floating restaurant.
They fed me with half a Turkish white loaf, sliced in half and filled with fish, onions and peppers. Together with a can of coke it cost £2.
After supper I had a quick walk around the harbour and came across a camp site.
I have not seem anything like this in Turkey before.
We are now on our way to Tsarevo which is where I shall check into Bulgaria.
