We left reasonably early (as it was about 35nm to Kira) but not as the moon was rising. I took this the previous evening whilst dining on Ethel

I don’t understand why the moon doesn’t show clearly in the sky but is there in the reflection…..strange, must ask a moon expert.

Part of the coast along Nisos Alonissos looks a bit like the Jurassic coast in Dorset…….

…..with very red soft sandstone.

I have fallen off the edge of my chartplotter’s cartridge…..

Minka is heading north east into the grey hatched area. I have had to get my Ipad out and this shows a redline where you have been.

Minka’s position is indicated by the red arrowhead. The second red line to the left shows us leaving Phil’s romantic bay on our way  south to Skiathos.

The trip to Kira was uneventful but very annoying with constantly changing wind directions and strengths. We anchored in an enclosed bay and were joined by a fishing boat ……

…and later on two others.

This is a great anchorage when the wind is from the south with loads of room. On my way out in the morning I noticed a flotilla had rafted up in another corner of the bay.
