This is a pretty good marina. The water is flat so I had a good nights sleep. I went and checked out the facilities which are first class. Very clean and good hot powerful showers. There is also a laundry.

I went for a walk around town which is quite interesting and has a good supermarket.

Municipal buildings

These buildings are in very good order until you walk around the back.

Back of the ornate building
If you look closely at the photo you will see that all the windows are broken and rotten. What is that about?

Looking out to sea

The bridge is quite a fine structure and just tall enough to get under. It looked very tight with Minka's mast coming up to it but it says there is 30mts and Minka is only about 20 so that was ok.

As you can see it has been a bit of a gloomy day.

Tomorrow instead of setting off again I may dry Minka out on a sandbank I have spotted further up the river. She has not been out of the water for nearly a year and the sacrificial anode on the propeller needs checking and probably changing. I may have to paddle a bit as the tidal range today has only been 1.8 mts and she draws 1.5. However, the tidal range increases with a maximum of 2.6mts on the 17th before it starts to reduce again.

I had a look at the google map thingy of here and when it was taken there was a cloud hanging over the marina so you can't see Minka's berth.
