Foot pump on dinghy worked brilliantly this morning, now
hope no more problems with it this trip.
This morning went ashore to Customs to extend our
cruising permit for SVG which was due to expire tomorrow. No problems with
extension. The government building here in Bequia has a max number of people in
the customer area of 5 and in this area is Customs, Immigration, Registry,
Revenue and the Post Office. There was a queue outside, once found out nearly
all for Post Office and you need to see if anyone at the desk/window you want
when empty you can go in. There was another yachtie extending his permit so only
a few minutes and I was in. Now can be here till 17th April, suspect we will
only use 2 weeks of it with current plans.
Stock up on breakfast supplies and snacks done too as
shops all open today.
This afternoon a productive time bottom cleaning. Most
of the hull done, none of the keel yet. The propeller was worked on with a metal
scrapper. The barnacles had really attached themselves to it and the shaft, a
lot of effort to get them off. Will need some finishing touches next time in the
water.
