Fully clouded sky most of the day so another day of no
extra power to charge computers. Also very windy. Presently forecast is to have
a very, very wet Thursday, at least it will be warm rain and should be enough to
wash the decks down.
Got the pedestal back today. Checked the work and can
see that one of the bushes has been angled wrong. Fitting the worn and broken
needle bearings in the shaft does not engage the rear hole more than a few mm.
Pedestal returned for rework.
New bearings no news from any chandleries so tomorrow
will find a freight forwarder I can use here and find out what I need to do to
get things brought through Customs etc without paying any import duties. Once
done will use a marine online shop from the States or Edson themselves or though
no discount that way.
Maintenance today was reworking the rear guard rails so
they have quick release shackles so easier to climb aboard when John goes for
his swims. Also my light weight Helly Hanson jacket soaked the zip
ends in white vinegar to remove the corrosion so it can be
started. Worked a treat all good
now.
