Position 25 54.4S 153 00.50E Not a great caravan site and not a great place. Tin Can Bay sits at the bottom end of Fraser Island, up a tidal inlet. If you come between Fraser Island and the mainland, you have to come over The Bar. We called into the coastguard to find out the best time to do that. After a mooch around Tin Can Bay, it didn’t take long, we went on the town’s wild flower walk. Tourism main income to coastal towns, and big business in Australia. Lots of Banksias and these carnivorous plants – some sort of Drosera? |
