Niue - passage and at anchor

To Niue In
contact, via the Pacific Puddle Jumpers Net, with Whiskers, Fekla, Impiana and
Karacool as we sail from Bora Bora to Niue. Fekla and ourselves similar speed
when we fly our Parasailor or cruising chute. A little friendly rivalry has
ensued. In order to go faster we
sailed my bra’s. Unfortunately
because they flew on one side of the boat, we became unstable and started to go
around in circles. Fekla overtook
us at this critical point.
Whiskers, Fekla and Impiana continued to Tonga whilst we stopped at
Niue.

Day
9, 20 June 2012 Arrived
at 1900 and picked up a mooring buoy off the main town Alofi just before
dark. Total passage time 8.5
days. Karacool in before us. Not allowed to go ashore until cleared
by customs but spent the evening on Karacool with two Australian boats (Felicity
J and Inca) and South Africans on Eleuthra. Good company, good food and good wine
make for a good night’s sleep! Moored off Niue.
