As you will see in the pictures below, this is both a large fishing port
and marina.
The first three pictures show a very large Tuna fishing vessel. The very
tall tower in the centre of the boat is the tower they use to spot the tuna
shoal. You may also be able to make out on the rear of this fishing vessel,
another smallish boat, which was about 50 feet long, this is used to pull the
net around the tuna so catching them.
The above picture shows the fishing harbour full of boats. it would appear
that most of these, like the one in the centre of the picture are used to look
after and harvest the cultured mussels. The are grown on floating rafts with
long ropes dangling below them on which the mussels grow.
The pictures below show some of the ropes being loaded on to one of these
boats.
