28/10/11 – 31/10/11

Left Santa Cruz for San Miguel.  Windy again – F6 all the way.  Marina guys were very helpful and took our ropes.  Paul had to crab sideways down between the pontoons as the gap between was not great and we would never have been able to swing the boat around.  Spent 3 days washing just about anything that moved to a cost of 44E.  We are going to look and see if we can buy a small washing machine in Caribbean.  Meet up with Annie and Stephen and had a particularly boozy Saturday night as well as roast chicken on Sunday – way to go Annie.  San Miguel built as part of golfing complex so if you like golf I think there were two courses that you could play.  Lots of unfinished holiday apartment or hotel blocks.  The Brits have obviously adopted Tenerife and there were loads of them in San Miguel.  Mind you we did find some cans of Fray Bentos steak pies and you could get a full English breakfast for 5 or 6 E.
