Visited the Garden of Sleeping Giant just outside Nadi – took a big effort
to find it as,like Tahiti,nothing is sign posted. Eventually, after
chatting to the only Information Point we found it. Meanwhile, the garden
gets it’s name from the Sabeto mountains which, from a certain angle look like a
sleeping giant. Haven’t seen that myself but i was probably looking at
wrong angle. Raymond Burr (I do believe him Ironside) founded the garden o
house some of his orchids. Owned by someone else now. Here’s a few
pictures of some orchids, no idea what they were called as no signs of any
sort:
Plantains. They grow up whereas bananas grow down:
Some really big bamboo and me between the roots of a tree.
