And it is still raining.  Such a shame as this is supposed to be spectacular coastline.  Anyway we continued through to Matarangi and Coromandel and then down the west coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, through Auckland and continued up the east coast to a small place called Whangateau, near Cape Rodney.  Coromandel was a lovely little town and we were going to stay and do some walking.  However, lady in tourist office had the weather forecast: rain and then more rain and then showers and more showers.  So we headed off on a driving day.  Some shots through the rain of sediment ladened streams/rivers entering the bays within the area..

It finally stopped raining at about 5pm in the evening.  Sodden and miserable.  Another interesting little campsite on a bay.  $5 extra for a view of the ocean.  There were so many people there (not) that we picked a spot a row back from the sea and still had the ocean view.
