Passage To The Hiva Oa in the Marquesas Islands Day 2
We left Puerto Ayora Galapagos Island heading for Hiva Oa in the Marquesas Islands at 08.00 am local time UTC (GMT) - 6 hours on the 18 Mach 2012.

Noon to Noon report on the 19th March 12
No wind at present so we are motoring heading South West to try to pick up the wind. The Grib weather charts are showing reasonable wind at about 005 degrees South.
We will keep the engine RPM down at the 2,200 level to conserve fuel.
This blog is about 40 minutes late as we have just been visited by a Tuna vessel towing four 30 foot open boats. One of these open boats came along side for a chat, but as we don't speak Spanish, and they did not speak English, it was a bit of a hard job.
Wildlife report
We passed a very large fish on the surface with a vivid turquoise tail fin, it was about 6 to 10 feet long. We have no idea of the type of fish, but we do have photographs, so we hope to identify it later.
Again we have seen many large Manter rays and Sealions off the coast of the various islands as we passed by.
Only Karacool has set off with us, the other two will be leaving on Tuesday.
