Walked into Hutt City – the lady at the campsite said it was a nice walk. She lied.  It was a nice walk through industrial estates, if you have not seen those before.  We caught the bus back and then drove around Wellington Bay to Eastbourne and the end of the road.  You can walk all along the beach here to the oldest lighthouse in NZ.  Unfortunately it was a 4 hour walk so we didn’t have time to do it.  Walked part of the way though.  Here’s a 180 looking over towards Wellington harbour.

Paul and a couple of seabirds.

A 180 of the beach and a lotta rocks.  We met some Maori’s here who were paua hunting.  Very quick to point out legal limit was 14 per person.  We think they thought we were Fisheries people at first.
