We stayed the night at a campsite I had read about, place so small not on the GPS.  Was lovely and remote.  We were the first people to arrive so got the best site overlooking Surat Bay.  Went for a short(ish) walk to try to find the sea lions ‘that rest along these beaches’.  They were presumably sheltered somewhere else.  Windy or what.  The waves in the distance LHS were breaking over a sand bar.  Wind against tide and waves RHS.

There was a serious amount of sand being blown about

Looking towards the far side of Surat Bay and holdfast, with a bit of my foot for size.

Surat Bay named after a vessel that went down, which is out there somewhere.

I can hardly see for the sand.
