Next stop was Cape Farewell – a stiff 200m climb from the car park.

Cape Farewell is the northernmost part of the south Island.  Looking back along the footpath.  There is a walk along the cliffs that you can do from here to a lighthouse.  Paul took one look and legged it back to the van.
