We also went to Adelaide Beach – just another hyped up beach and Port Adelaide.  Lots of old storage and mill type buildings.  Paul thought it was undergoing a revival, I thought it was declining after an attempted revival.  We had one of the best lunches, if not the best, here in a small café off the main street.  It opened for breakfast 0630 to 1130 during the week, and lunch 1030 to 1600 at the weekend.  Anyway, at the tourist office you can do a row of knitting and help warm up the lamp-posts..

And the trees.  I rest my case as a declining revival.

This is Port Adelaide lighthouse which originally stood at the entrance to the port.  It was dismantled and moved twice before coming to rest as part of the Maritime Museum in 1986.

Lovely Victorian building all boarded up and in decline.  This was an old mill.  I’m assuming flour but could be cotton.

With a great extension joining two buildings.

This was the early settlers Casualty Hospital, built in 1884 and now dedicated to pioneer doctors and nurses who treated the pioneers.
