Noon to Noon report on the 26th March 12
We have managed to sail a full 24 hours, unfortunately the wind has now a dropped to between 4 and 8 knots from the South East. We are now only sailing at 1 to 4 knots, but still in the direction we need to go, but very slowly. The weather prediction is for this strength of wind is to last for the next 2 to 3 days, so it is going to be very slow!!
The sea state is now smooth.
Wildlife report
We have seen a few flying fish and a few sea birds, and a little squids on the deck, but nothing else.
Shipping report
During yesterday afternoon, we had a ship sail up towards us and then stop about 3 miles off our port side. It then maintained this position until we lost sight of it. It appeared to be some sort of research vessel, as was indicated by it maintaining a set position, may be to take samples of the sea water and various other measurements.
Fishing report
No fish yet!!!
