Bondi from the North.

This rock was washed up during a storm in July 1912.  It weighs 235 tons!

Lots of little statues cemented into the rock.  This one commemorated Black Sunday, February 6^th 1938 when 250 people were rescued from the sea.  Three rogue waves swamped the shore washing people out to sea.

The swimming pool at the south side of Bondi Beach.

Lots of surf schools in the area and lots of would-be-surfers were on the water.  We walked around Bondi and into Tamarama and Bronte Beaches.  More statues set in the cliff.
