26/8/11 – 29/8/11 Lagos to Portimao / Ferragudo

Portimao about 7 miles from Lagos so took us a couple of hours to get there.   Anchored outside Portimao for 3 days.  Met up with Helen and Mark (on Marita III) and Stephen minus Annie (on Karacool).  Lovely to see them again.  Mark tried out his new BBQ – fish ate almost as well as rest of party.  Portimao lovely anchorage, old town of Ferragudo on east side of river and modern Portimao on the west.  Ferragudo mostly very narrow streets climbing up hill to church at the top.  Lots of fish restaurants (well 3 or 4) on the quay side and a good bakery.
