There are several trees that have bright orange flowers in bloom at the moment.  This is the non- endemic African tulip tree (Spathodea campanulata)

 

 

The tree produces large bean pods.

 

 

Photo doesn’t do the tree justice but from the distance glistens flame.

 

 

The red silk cotton tree (Bombax ceiba) a native tree in Australia and Asia.  You can see better the flame effect.

 

 

Another native curtain fig tree (Ficus virens).
