Noon to Noon report on the 25th March 12

We have managed to sail a full 24 hours again, the wind is now a steady 15 to 20 knots from the South East, which is giving us a great reaching sail. We are now sailing at our normal speed of 6 knots and in the direction we need to go. So heading South West to try to pick up the wind has worked.

The sea state is moderate, giving us a bit of a bumpy sail, but otherwise OK.

Wildlife report

We have seen a few flying fish and a few sea birds, and a little squid on the deck, but nothing else

Shipping report

Tuna fishing boats picked up on the AIS but over 35 miles away.

Fishing report

Just started to fish again so news to follow!!!

Fleet Positions

Karacool set off with us, and is at present about 79 miles behind us.

Camelot set off on Tuesday and is now 475 miles behind us.

Marita 3 set off on Tuesday and is now 456 miles behind us.

Cordelia an American boat we met on Saturday night before we left, has just joined the radio net. They also left on Sunday. There position is 30 miles ahead of us.

Next report on the 26th.
